Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

Performs general repair, and/or assists in installation and maintenance of all electrical applications. Also assists in other maintenance operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Performs general repair, and/or assists in installation and maintenance (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, refrigeration, pneumatic systems, carpentry, etc.), following verbal and written instructions, reference material and standard procedures adhering to company quality standards.
2. Provide general maintenance department assistance
3. Detect and report faulty operations, materials, and working conditions to supervisor or team leader.
4. Maintain work area, equipment and tools in clean and orderly condition.
5. Use safety equipment as instructed. Follow safety regulations and company policies, reporting to supervisor any unsafe conditions.
6. Perform other duties and cross-train as required or assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

1. Requires technical school training and/or comparable experience in specialized field (electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, etc.)
2. Requires use of various math and other measuring devices to assist in interpreting and understanding written instructions and drawings.
3. Requires ability to drive forklift and material handling equipment.
4. Basic welding skills.
5. General working knowledge of all aspects of industrial maintenance. Good mechanical and construction aptitude.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

1. Physical fitness to perform all functions of designated work areas. This includes small tool use, full arm and leg range of motion, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, work in awkward positions, talking and hearing.
2. Employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
3. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
