Job purpose
ACH Clear Pathways is looking for a Part time Maintenance Tech who is able assist in maintaining the facility and maintenance of the Kaufmann Center. This Tech will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep for the building. Keeping building clean and in orderly condition. Perform heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning and waxing floors, glass, removing trash etc. Duties may include performing routine maintenance activities, notifying management of needs for repairs, and cleaning of snow or debris from sidewalk if need be.
This is a part-time position with hours from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
□ Attend regular staff meetings and professional development trainings
□ Set up and arrange tables and chairs to prepare facilities for events and meetings
□ Receive and responds to employee requests for routine building maintenance, which may include minor electrical, plumbing and carpentry repairs
□ Assists with snow removal as needed
□ Handle other duties as requested by management
□ Maintain a strong, customer focus at all times
□ Communicate professionally, in a clear and concise manner
□ Perform other duties as assigned.
□ Monitor building security by performing such tasks as lock doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliances to ensure no hazards are not created
□ Check organization email for correspondence
□ Work as a team with daily assignments & program outcomes for youth program
Qualifications
□ At least two years of experience in maintenance
□ Ability to work both independently and as a group to achieve greater organizational success
□ Strong attention to detail
□ Must be able to obtain a State Child Abuse Clearance and FBI fingerprint clearance
Working conditions
□ Flexible schedule with ability to work occasional weekday evenings and Saturdays (As needed for programs and off-site events).
Physical requirements
□ Walking (4) hours, standing (4) hours, bending and sitting (occasionally)
□ Employee must be able to lift and or carry over 20 pounds as well as push/pull over 25 pounds on a regular basis.
□ Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and reaching
□ Bend or twist their body
□ Climb ladders, scaffolds etc.
□ Kneel, stoop, crouch, or crawl
□ Run machinery
