Job Description

**Description:** We are seeking an experienced manufacturing engineer to join our team\. This position is primarily responsible for reducing manufacturing defects and improving part yields\. This will be accomplished both by up front collaboration with design engineering to ensure products are designed to be successfully produced at production rates and through effective root cause analysis and corrective action implementation to parts currently being manufactured\. Responsibilities include: \- Analyze product designs and manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement \- Develop and implement design and process changes to improve producibility, reduce costs, increase throughput and enhance product quality \- Collaborate with design engineering teams to ensure that designs are producible and meet manufacturing requirements \- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address production issues **Basic Qualifications:** \- Minimum 7 years experience supporting manufacturing and/or inspection processes \- Proven experience in design for manufacturability \- Excellent communication and collaboration skills \- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills \- Ability to work in a fast\-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously **Desired Skills:** \- Expertise in mechanical manufacturing processes \- Strong understanding of quality and inspection processes \- Demonstrated success improving part first pass yield \- Advanced knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing \(GD&T\) \- Experience with PTC Creo or similar CAD software \- Ability to mentor and share expertise with less experienced engineers **Clearance Level:** None **Other Important Information You Should Know** **Expression of Interest:** By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\.
