Job Description and Duties

Under direction of the Painter Supervisor, the incumbent must have the fundamental principles, methods, and knowledge of paint materials, tools, and equipment used in painting and finishing profession. Must be familiar with the Industrial Safety requirements and safety orders that involve painting. Must have the ability to mix paints, match colors,tint, work from ladders, erect scaffolding and rigging.this position will keep simle records, make reports, follow oral and written directions and must have the ability to read and write at least at a level appropriate to this classification.

Working Conditions

Physical Demands: Must possess and maintain sufficient strength, agility, endurance, and sensory ability to perform the duties contained in the duty statement.

Typical Working Conditions : Ongoing interaction with clients, PDC's personnel, epmloyees and the general public. Potential exposure to communicable diseases, blood-borne pathogens and other conditions common to a clinical nursing environment.

Work Location and Times : Porterville Developmental Center, Plant Operations. Normal work shift is 0800-1630 hours, Monday through Friday. Lunch is 1200-1230 hours. All personnel are required to work overtime, are subject to call backs, and work holidays/weekends as needed to maintain licensing requirements for the clients that resides at Porterville Developmental Center.

Special Requirements
