Job Description
A bit about us: We are a friendly, outgoing, and laid-back family of three, Mom, Dad, a 17-month-old girl who values spending time outdoors and including our dog as a true member of the family. We love to travel, explore new places, and are naturally curious and eager to keep learning. As we prepare to welcome a new baby in mid-February, we’re focused on doing our best for our children while keeping an open mind and embracing the changes that come with this exciting season of life. We’re easygoing, flexible, and adaptable, and we believe in creating a warm, supportive environment where everyone feels comfortable and cared for.
A bit about you: Experience with both toddlers and newborns is important, as is an understanding of developmental milestones and how to support children as they grow. While fluency in Spanish would be a wonderful bonus, we are open to all candidates who bring warmth and expertise. Ideally, you’re nurturing and sensitive to emotions, while also being active, engaging, and creative in how you spend time with the children. We value someone who can operate independently, adapt with flexibility, and bring an outgoing personality to our home. Experience helping older siblings adjust to the arrival of a new baby would be a great plus.
Job Duties: A typical day will include arriving in the morning to provide breakfast, followed by creative activities and play. Throughout the day, you’ll offer snacks, spend meaningful time outdoors, whether through walks, park visits, or free play, and help encourage her natural curiosity through interactive learning. Our daughter loves engaging with adults and thrives with gentle guidance as she explores new things. She is curious, thoughtful, and cautious in her approach, enjoys constant dialogue, and is especially interested in sounds and language. We’d love for you to support her milestones, including potty training, speech development, and preparing for the transition to a new sibling. Reading together, arts and crafts, building with blocks, and incorporating Spanish, singing, and music are all encouraged. Mealtimes include working with her on trying new foods and practicing utensils. Overall, she is an energetic, happy child, and we’re looking for someone who can nurture her growth in a fun, engaging, and supportive way.
