Job Description

Summary

Manage and implement educational program for Christian pre-school ages 2 1/2 to 6 years old and serve as liaison between the program and the church.

Duties

1) Be familiar with state regulations for private Christian school
2) Keep program current with state regulations
3) Develop and implement plan for a religious non-profit preschool program ages 2 1/2 - 6 years old that is developmentally appropriate and helps children develop physically, mentally, cognitively, socially and spiritually.
4) Ensure program maintains a Christian atmosphere.
5) Supervise, train and guide staff for professional development
6) Ensure staff have read and are familiar with state regulations as well as maintain staff personnel files
7) Maintain student files ensuring all necessary student forms and health records including immunizations are current
8) Maintain effective staff to student ratios
9) Build relationships with families and communicate program to preschool board, staff and parents

Requirements

A degree in or have relevant work experience in early childhood education
Current in First Aid and CPR for infants and children
Experience working with and managing staff
An active Christian faith
