Bell Flight has an opening in our Fort Worth, TX headquarters for an experienced Business Process Controls Analyst to work with Govt auditors and perform internal audits of defense contractor business systems . This position will report to the Sr. Manager of Business Process Controls and will interface with Bell Flight, Textron Aviation Defense, and Textron Corporate personnel as well as the US Government (USG).

In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in ensuring business system compliance to USG Federal Acquisition Regulations Systems for Defense Contracts at Bell and Textron Aviation Defense locations as well as documenting and supporting compliance with Textron processes related to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform business system reviews at Bell and Textron Aviation Defense in accordance with DFARS 252.242-7005.
  • Support various Bell business units, as well as Textron Aviation Defense, with USG audits of business systems, incurred cost submissions, forward pricing rates, and all other USG audits.
  • Assist Bell, Textron Aviation Defense, and Textron Corporate with maintaining CAS Disclosure Statements.
  • Assist in the continuous evaluation of compliance with CAS and other regulatory requirements.
  • Help in the preparation of any required General Dollar Magnitudes (GDM) to quantify accounting changes or respond to USG audit reports.
  • Support requests for information from DCAA, DCMA and other USG agencies.
  • Review USG audit reports and assist in developing robust responses.
  • Foster positive relationships and establish frequent, consistent, reliable communication with DCMA, DCAA, NAVAIR, NAS, AMCOM, AFPRO. Establish and maintain working relationships and open communications with all relevant internal and external personnel.
  • Will travel up to 10-15% plus as needed to support audits for Bell and Textron Aviation Defense (US Domestic).

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar field.

Position Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), Accounting, Finance, or similar field.
  • Strong computer skills are required with a focus on Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Power Point).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 10-15% plus to support business process controls audits for DCAA, DCMA and other USG agencies.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Prior experience with auditing DFARS government business systems.
  • Knowledge of government contracting requirements.
  • Familiar with the roles of DCAA, DCMA and other USG agencies in auditing business processes for compliance to federal defense contracts regulations.
  • Knowledge of the FAR, DFARS and Cost Accounting Standards and how the regulations apply to various businesses.
